The mother of Nikko, Cali came to Wayeh @ 9.5yo, when her retirement family could no longer keep her.  I sent word out to the Wayeh puppy buyers, and they stepped up to get her all the way from Michigan down to Wayeh.  On the way, she impressed everyone with her dignity and charm.  Nikko has given us so much, and it is a complete joy having her here.  She bosses Brady around when she's not bossing her son around, and they pretty much ignore her, what's an old broad to do?  Well, sit on them, of course!

Mariah is a sweet, stocky elf who came to us late in life and gave us Nikko's daughter Tori-nado.  She is a true joy, always happy, always pleased to see you, always ready for a lean and a hug.  She adores children, goes all aquiver when she sees anyone under 4' tall. And never starts trouble with anyone -- Ms Mellow in a fur suit.

My Sing-Sing, as in prison, as in jailbreak, @ 8 she's still going over 6' fences.  And smug about it.  Wayeh's 13th AKC Champion, 12th Obedience title, the daughter of my heart dog Summer, who lives to sprawl...  She spent the first year of her life with Landon, who has CP, and since then she does therapy and school visits with her brother Tom T.

Not destined for the show ring, Tom is that once in a lifetime dog, only he's also the son of that once in a lifetime dog Summer.  IWPA regional bronze medallist his rookie year, he weight pulls 22%, leads my team, and is a true gentleman in every good way.  He's raised every male puppy, including his nephew Maestro, and has a calming VIBE about him.  Tom is a GREAT dog, the best of the best, and 'Mr. Wonderful' doesn't say enough.

Nikko also came to Wayeh as a 4yo with his daughter Kayobi.  Since then he gave us Seranade & Tori.  Now retired, he's helping his daughter Kay raise HER daughter Parka, and the three of them make their own sled team -- ready or not, HERE WE COME!

John came to Wayeh @ 17mo.  He didn't like the show ring, expressed his displeasure by yanking my skirt to my ankles at Clarksville, TN, one year, and was Abracadabra, NOT a show dog anymore.  What he was born for was harness.  And he was co-leader on my 6 or 10-dog Siberian team after Tosha retired.  He's retired as well now for health reasons, but he still runs the fence lines every time a team heads out, and still stands at the last corner and watches us out of sight.

Tubby Hampton "Tubby"

Tubby is an English Shepherd?xNewfie? who came to Wayeh @ 13yo after tragedy struck his home.  He's the only dog on the place who BARKS, and he will stand for hours to let anyone, but especially children, groom him.  He gets along with everyone, even the male Malamute stud dogs tolerate him.  He and Clay and Jonathan are helping raise Amak & Honey, and while he thinks the whole sledding thing is horsefeathers, he absolutely LUVS the water.
