Deposits

Deposits are accepted after we approve your application.

Deposits are Non-refundable. Your deposit on a litter means that someone else may not put a deposit down, waiting to see how many puppies are born or what is available after we do picks at 7 weeks. Your deposit is a promise, when you send it, and when we accept it. and we will act based on that promise. Don't send a deposit unless you are SURE.

Be SURE because a puppy is a big commitment in MONEY so be sure you can afford the final payment and shipping costs (as necessary) at 5 weeks, multiple vet visits, dog food, crates, supplies. A puppy is a big commitment in TIME so be sure you have the time for taking time off work to pick up the puppy, vet visits, puppy classes, obedience classes (all required!), housetraining, leash training, long leisurely walks and talks with the puppy, giving updates through our WayehMals email group, your job, your family, and your other pets.

Deposits are NOT accepted based on coat color or coat length.

We do accept deposits based on sex. If you already have a male dog, and wanted a female companion that ended up not being available, we would never push you to take another male. If you put a deposit on a female, and there is no female available when the litter is born, then your deposit will be held over to the next litter. If you put a deposit on an already-born female, and for some reason there aren't enough females available by the time they go home, then your deposit will be held over to the next litter.

The order of deposits is the order of "picks." Wayeh usually reserves a male and/or female from every litter. So consider that puppy first-pick-female (staying @ Wayeh), leaving second-pick-female available. Sometimes we have puppies available after picks are made, usually because the litter was larger than we had dared hope for. And those puppies will be marked AVAILABLE and can be picked at the time the application is approved.

If you don't pay the remaining balance at 5w, the deposit is forfeit. This is important because we have had people pay deposits and then disappear. Don't make us hunt you down, send the National Guard, or Chuck Norris, Texas Ranger. Stay in contact, read your emails, I'll send updates as the weeks pass between birth and go-home. There will be a brief calendar --

	@ 3w pups go outside
	@ 4w pups try dog food
	@ 5w puppy buyers send the balance of payment
	@ 6w we start lead dog testing and leash training
	etc.

Meanwhile, I'll be busy with vet visits, socialization, temperament testing, Rules of 7, crate training, litter training, leash training, Pfaffenberger's New Knowledge of Dog Behavior, and playing... uh, working, with the puppies.

You can use your credit card, debit card, bank account, or personal check to pay through www.paypal.com, but please add $5/$100 to cover fees. When the money hits my account, you have your reservation. Personal checks and bank account transfers take several days.
