"My name is Matt and I spoke with you on the phone this morning about finding a new home for our malamute, Duke. We found Duke when he was a month old on the streets of Naples, Italy. With nowhere else to take him, we took him home. We have since moved back to the U.S. and live in Memphis, TN. It was evident early on that Duke needed more space and more attention than we could give him (we were both active duty military) and have tried to find a suitable home for him. Even with our medium sized yard and busy schedule we are able to give Duke exercise, although what he really needs is 10 acres of land.

"Duke has had 6 months of training from PetSmart in Memphis, TN. He is very friendly and great around people. We have a 10 month old daughter. Up until she started crawling, duke didn't pay her much attention. Now, if she gets close, he starts to growl. Thankfully, he growls and moves instead of growling and standing his ground. The reason we want to put Duke in another home is because of our newborn. With his recent growling, it makes me nervous to have Duke around our newborn. He could also use a home with some land, a place that he could run and run and run......

"He weighs 85 lbs., he is neutered, and all of his vaccinations are up to date (we have all of the medical records to show this).
