"Lazer"
b. 3/2004, 21"/46#, Alaskan Malamute male
Lazer's owner/breeder fell on
hard times with some major health issues of his own. When he could
no longer properly care for his dogs he did the right thing -- he asked
for help. Malamute people may be a cantankerous sort under normal
circumstances, but they also step up when one of their own needs
help. This time, people stepped up and his dogs were rehomed.
Lazer gives turbo-charged
kisses to anyone who holds still. He likes the girls, not boys so
much, but that's typical of the breed. He is only 6y and is highly
adoptable once we get him back on four strong feet. He arrived
nicely bathed and smelling sweet -- and hungry, but Mals are always
hungry.
Lazer is looking for SPONSORS
to help with his vet care. He was switched to Eukanuba large breed puppy
food even before he got out of the truck. He is probably
hypo-thyroid, needs a complete examination by a vet to determine if the
weight-loss is something serious his shots, needs to be neutered ASAP, and
heartworm and fecal tested. He moves very well, has a happy demeanor when
someone is offering food. He also found the first "cave"
as soon as he could, caves = safety.
By coincidence, Lazer is a
great-great nephew of our Cali (above) and
looks just like her in person.
