AVAILABLE "Buddy"

tnamr-buddy.JPG (92936 bytes) tnamr-buddy-h.jpg (360644 bytes)
3y gray & white, 85# male Alaskan Malamute

Came into the shelter with another intact male -- a Saint Bernard -- as companion.  Would not pee in his kennel at the shelter or the vets and had to be walked several times/day.  Pees while leashed, just not "indoors."

They are at the local shelter, and we're getting them both out before their euth date. But here's the story...

The Malamute and the Saint Bernard were "rampaging" through trash cans, sneaking into houses, taking naps on couches, even muddy, icy and covered in cow odeur. <G> They eluded ACOs until the Mal was caught in a live trap. The Saint wouldn't leave him, laid next to him all night and waited. Even when Animal Control showed up, the Saint clambered into the open truck door instead of being left behind.

Both intact males, both approximately 3y... that's a guess. Both pretty typical in looks for their breeds.

The Malamute is VERY typy, substantial, harsh stand-off coat, gray & white, open-faced, nicely put together. I don't know enough about Saints to say, but this one's got loyalty down pat. They don't fence fight with other dogs. They don't cause trouble in the shelter, don't climb fences, and the only "issue" is when the Mal sings, the Saint sort of screeches and bellows....

They are being called Butch the Mal & Sundance the Saint.

There have to be owners out there, these two are too nicely built and too socialized, but no collars, no tatts, no chips... ;< And the shelter has kept them long passed their hold time, and they were reports of being spotted in the neighborhood on and off at least a month before the capture...

Thanks, everyone, for helping get "Buddy" out of the shelter!
