Wayeh Alaskan Malamutes Smoke & Sunny's DANCE Litter

August 16, 2009 - Smoke has been staying with Bright & Sunny. When the ladies came in season, I separated them -- three fences away, knowing Sunny's predilection for climbing a fence when she wants something... Well, Sunny also climbs THREE fences when she wants something. Thanks, Sunshine, appreciate the effort. Pups due 10/18.

October 15, 2009 - Guess who is really really pregnant?

October 17, 2009 - Guess who thinks being pregnant is just swell, and thinks we should potty break every 3 hours, especially if it is dark outside.... and who sleeps the day away.... unlike ME who has to be awake during daylight hours...

October 19, 2009 - 4 years ago, Sunny had her first litter (Happy 4th birthday to the SUN litter).

October 22, 2009 - Day 65, and yes, I was getting more than a little anxious, and had threatened Sunny with a trip to the vet (which she loves for all the pets and cooing and awing) in the morning, and of course, who gets any sleep around here when the sun goes down -- potty breaks every 3 hours -- and then at 1 am.... FINALLY, finally, she delivered a 2-lb gray/white girl -- wow, just wow. What a gorgeous girl. And what a good mama Sunny is!

November 12, 2009 3w - they have learned to Vrooom and to roll their Rs and to sing for attention. We will start puppy mush this week and move them outside during the pretty days, otherwise they are still in the living room and I'm still on the couch. They are HUGE puppies for their age, but Singer and her daughters have always produced an abundance of milk.
