"Czar"1971 - 1983
An Alaskan Malamute is not recommended as a "starter" dog, especially when one has a rambunctious two-legged, two year old. Czar came to us as an obnoxious nine month old rescue. He was my first introduction to obedience training--if I intended to keep him. He tested me to the limit, tried my patience, chewed up the carpet, dug up the flowers in the garden and of course, one of his favorite things, was to run along side of Stacey, hit her with his rump and send her flying. Needless to say, it didn't take me long and I was hooked on the breed and there is no nicer sound than a Mal woo-wooing.
