My involvement with sleddogs began in 1990 with a Siberian named Tosha and then a Malamute named Jack -- who started me on the (necessary) road to obedience training.

An insane desire to exercise more than 5 dogs at once, lead to sledding & carting. And then along came that first show dog Summer Sunshine. In 1999 (on the death of my mentor Billie Stewart) I inherited half of Summer's kennel Wayeh Alaskan Malamutes.

As a side note for my rescue work, I wrote Breed Information about Malamutes & Siberians , and put my breeding research online in Alaskan Malamute Pics & Peds. The long road to understanding canine nutrition lead to Feeding Trials (Kibble) and then Raw Feeding.
