Sources (Bargains)
East Tennessee & the net

Feeding dogs Raw/BARF can either be outrageously expensive or cheaper than super premium kibble -- depending on your sources.

If I buy it, it's a bargain or it's on sale.  I want to give my dogs the best possible food.  But reality is "The Budget" and I need to find regular sources that are bargains.  Note: I shop the bargain bins and reduced baskets and can often find prices lower than these, or find meaty chicken backs half the cost of chicken quarters, so that's what we feed that week.

Exotic Protein Sources

Besides poultry (chicken, turkey, & duck) pork, beef (& buffalo), rabbit, and lamb, it's had to get other protein sources.  There are a few options:

Local Slaughterhouses - venison, lamb (during Fall 4-H kills), sometimes goat
A relative who hunts
Feed store message boards for goat, lamb, etc.

I think I got it, so where can I learn more..?
