Submissive Sakari lives happily with my laidback boy Clay, but was
constantly bickering with another male in her previous home. She
is NOT a good leader and does a poor job of it. She needs strong,
easy-going leadership in a male dog companion.
Housetrained (when supervised), crate trained, leash trained
Sakari adores people, loves people, is happy and content with people. Not
so much with other dogs. Most of her problem is fear of other dogs from
her first home where she was bullied non-stop by another dog. She has
lived in an alcohol rehabilitation center, so was incredibly socialized with dozens of people every day.
She is used to sleeping in a crate, but does fine loose in the house with people
around. She has completed obedience classes before, so the class with you
is not to learn to sit, but so YOU can learn to communicate with HER. In general, a Malamute is a pack dog, not a
solitary dog, Sakari is used to company most of the day. She should be
crated unless she is supervised.
