Spitz-like Breeds
How many spitz-like dogs can you name? If you don't know the standard/description for your desired breed, then how do you know the breed that suits you isn't a different double-coated, spitz-like dog.

Some dogs, like the Alaskan Husky, are "performance" breeds with no official "Standard" except ability.  The Laikas (East & West Siberian) may be the same dog.  And some research says the Canadian Inuits, Greenlands, and Canadian Eskimos may be the same dogs.  There are also dogs who may not have English-language pages on the web, and that makes it difficult for me to read their standards until I get a translation <g>.

However, check out these dogs from the AKC (American Kennel Club), UKC (United Kennel Club), CKC (Canadian Kennel Club), ARBA (American Rare Breed Association), FCI (Federation of International Canines), & other National Kennel Clubs.
