Sledding
Carting

Carting is a hoot!
The only problem you may have is getting
the dog to move in a walk. There are two types of carting. There
is draft-work carting where the dog stays in a walk. This is usually
a two-wheeled cart with shafts like a horse-drawn wagon hooked to a BIG
dog, St. Bernard, Newfie, etc. However, ANY dog can do this, and Malamutes
are perfect, big-boned, love to pull.
There is sled-training carting, where the dogsled is substituted for a wheeled rig. Malamutes or Siberians
can do this but where a helmet, pads, and boots. Why?
